LASER HAIR REMOVAL WITH GENTLEMAX PRO®

Excessive amounts of hair that grow in distinctly noticeable areas on the body can make a person feel embarrassed and insecure about their appearance. Most hair removal treatments, and at-home methods like shaving and waxing, can be painful and only provide temporary results. Dr. Clark offers laser hair removal with GentleMax Pro® to safely and effectively eliminate unwanted and stubborn hair in multiple body areas.

Ideal Candidates

The ideal candidate for laser hair removal must be in good health, have no cuts or damaged skin on the treated area, and have realistic expectations. Patients who experience stubborn ingrown hair (Pseudofolculitis) may also benefit from a laser hair removal treatment. Both men and women can benefit from this treatment to eliminate undesirable hair in one or more of the following areas:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Chest
  • Arms
  • Underarms
  • Legs
  • Back
  • Bikini area

The Procedure

Laser hair removal is a fast, safe, and non-surgical treatment performed outpatient. GentleMax Pro® uses a unique dual-mode system and a dynamic cooling device (DCD) that lets out cold bursts of air on the treated area. These cooling bursts provide the patient with a comfortable and pain-free treatment eliminating the need for anesthesia or traditional numbing creams. The GentleMax Pro® is equipped with the most significant spot size in the industry (about 2.4 cm) to address larger areas of the body like the back or legs.

Before your treatment, be sure to shave the areas you wish to have treated. During your procedure, the GentleMax Pro® will eliminate unwanted hair by targeting and destroying the follicle at the root, leaving the surrounding skin and tissue unharmed. This safely and effectively reduces hair growth on all skin types in multiple areas.

Recovery

Recovery from laser hair removal is a breeze because it’s a non-invasive procedure, and you can return to your regular activities after the treatment. You may experience some temporary skin irritation and redness, but this should resolve after a few days. Make sure to protect the treated areas from direct sun exposure and apply plenty of sunscreen daily. It is important that you follow all instructions given to you for a quick and easy recovery.

Results

Following a laser hair removal treatment, you will notice a reduction in the amount and thickness of hair. Your skin will look and feel smoother after just one sitting. A laser hair treatment will also boost your appearance and self-esteem. On average, you will need to undergo at least six treatments to get the results you desire. Additional touch-up sessions may be required depending on the amount of hair in the treated area.

PHOTO FACIALS with Gentle Max Pro®

You’ll get a clearer complexion as the melanin pigment within sunspots and other benign conditions is targeted by the light energy, whether you are treating the face, neck, decollete or other areas. Many factors determine the number and type of treatments needed. Depending upon the depth and density of pigment, as well as the use of supplemental hormones, you may need only a few or possibly several treatments. To achieve optimal results, avoid abrasive skin treatments, and sunlight or tanning booth light, for weeks before and after treatment. On the day of your treatment, arrive at our office free of makeup, creams, etc., and be sure to share your medical history so that we can ensure a safe and effective treatment.
